Urgent Alert Ministry Warns Against Fake “Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj” Recruitment Scams

Urgent Alert: Ministry Warns Against Fake “Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj” Recruitment Scams
Islamabad: The Ministry of Religious Affairs and Interfaith Harmony, Government of Pakistan, has issued an urgent public warning regarding fraudulent advertisements circulating on social media and in national newspapers. These scams target individuals seeking employment as “Khuddam-ul-Hujjaj” (Hajj Servants/Helpers) for the upcoming Hajj season.
This advisory comes in response to reports of unscrupulous individuals exploiting the public’s desire to serve in the Holy Land by publishing fake recruitment notices.
The Specific Scam: What to Look Out For
The Ministry has flagged a specific advertisement as fake. Citizens are advised to be vigilant if they encounter ads matching the following details:

  • Source: Daily Mashriq Peshawar (Dated: December 8, 2025).
  • Fake Agency Name: “Ayesha International” (Claiming an address in Satellite Town, Sargodha).
  • Job Title: “Khadameen Hajj” (Hajj Servants) or “Urgent Requirement for Saudi Arabia.”
  • False Promises: The scam offers a salary of 1,400 Saudi Riyals, free visa, free return ticket, and a 2-year contract.
  • Red Flag: The contact method relies heavily on a mobile/WhatsApp number (0316-5630281) rather than a verifiable landline.
The Ministry has clarified that the registration number and particulars mentioned in this advertisement are completely false.
    Official Guidance for Job Seekers
To protect citizens from financial loss and fraud, the government has provided the following guidelines for verification:
  • Verify the Agency: Before applying or paying any money, always verify the recruitment agency’s license and job permission through the Bureau of Emigration & Overseas Employment website:

Avoid WhatsApp-Only Contacts: legitimate agencies always have a proper office setup with landline numbers. Be skeptical of “agents” who only communicate via WhatsApp or mobile numbers.

Report Suspicious Activity: If you encounter such advertisements, report them to law enforcement agencies immediately. The Ministry is currently taking legal action against the perpetrators of the fake “Ayesha International” ad.
