New Traffic Challan Rates in Punjab from December 2025

The Government of Punjab has announced new traffic challan rates that will start from December 2025. These new fines are made to improve road safety and reduce accidents in the province. The aim is to make all drivers follow traffic rules in a strict and responsible way.

The new rates apply to all types of vehicles, including motorcycles, 3-wheelers, cars, jeeps, commercial vehicles, and public transport. Every violation now has a fixed penalty amount and a set number of penalty points. These points will be added to the driver’s record, and high points may lead to suspension of the driving license.

These challan rates cover many common violations such as over speeding, wrong way driving, signal breaking, using mobile while driving, and driving without a license. The government wants to guide drivers to follow rules for their own safety and for the safety of others.

When drivers follow rules, the number of accidents goes down. Roads become safer for families, school children, pedestrians, and all road users.

Government Message to All Road Users

The Punjab government requests all citizens to help in making the traffic system better. Following the rules will protect your own life and also protect others on the road. Small steps like wearing a helmet, stopping at red signals, using proper number plates, and keeping your vehicle fit can save many lives.
